He is very excited to get out of his kennel and go outside. Cody is housetrained and knows a couple basic commands. He stays right by you, he is very treat motivated and an eager learner. Beeman is a 3 year old, male brown tabby. He was brought into the shelter injured, likely hit by a car. Beeman had a leg and eye injury that resulted in his leg being amputated by our veterinarian. He is healing well and learning to get around on 3 legs. This guy has such a great attitude, he is just happy to be taking naps in the sunshine. Beeman would love to find an indoor home. Princess is a 2 year old, American Staffordshire mix who is tan with white markings. She is a thick girl, but we don't use the word 'chubby'. But she likely enjoyed lots of couch cuddling and snacks. A fenced yard or someone who likes to walk her on the leash would be so perfect. Princess is housetrained, not a jumper or barker. She has had some hair loss on her sides, we are not exactly sure why perhaps stress. She is just a tail wagger looking for her forever home. Thor is a one year old American Staffordshire mix who came in as a stray. He is mostly black with white markings, looks like he is wearing a tuxedo. Thor loves to be outside, chase a ball or just hang out with you. He is a happy, easy going fellow who wants to please his owner. Thor knows a couple commands, but he is treat motivated and could easily learn more. He is going to make someone a wonderful addition to their family. He is a medium sized dog that will be a minimal shedder. Gumby is the sweetest boy, no barking, no jumping, just a mild manner guy. His favorite activity is just being with you, he loves attention. Brody is a one year old, possible German Shepard mix. He is a character with many talents. First of all, the ears. He can put them both up, one up or both down. Not sure how he does it, but he has skills. Brody is housetrained, he knows some basic commands and does not jump on you. Rocky Road came in as a stray and she has been with us for over a month, which is hard to understand. She is so sweet, housetrained and gets along with just about everyone. Meet Dora, she is a 2 year old American Staffordshire mix. This bright, all white girl just has a gray patch on one eye. Dora was unfortunately found tied to a pole outside the shelter. She initially was very sad, stopped eating and couldn't understand why she was abandoned. Dora now has made friends at the shelter and now she is a happy go lucky pup. Meet Kela, she is a 3 year old Great Dane mix, who came to the shelter pregnant. She had her puppies, who are now weaned and on their own. Kela became somewhat of a celebrity when she choose to include an abandoned kitten to her litter. She nurtured the kitten as if it were one of her pups, which was in the paper and local news. Kela can be selective about who she chooses to be her friend, because of this she is not recommended for a home with children. She is housetrained and would likely be a territorial dog which is true to the Great Dane breed. This pretty solid black kitty is Grunge. She is a 7 year old domestic shorthair, that came in as a stray. Grunge has been with us since May because she came in with a burned area on her back. We are not sure what happened to this sweet girl. The burned area was treated, it is shrinking, looking better and does not seem to bother her. She is the first one to come to greet you in her cage.
