Dog adoptions require an application, online link Dog Adoption Application . The availability date is when the dog becomes JCAS property; any necessary medical procedures may delay an adoption. A meet & greet with your dog is mandatory. A cat room walk-through is available to test reaction. Dogs will go to approved applicants; the adoption fee is $150 for medium/large dogs, and $250 for puppies/small dogs which include vaccinations, microchips, and sterilization.

Cat Adoption Fees are $60 for one cat, and $80 for two, which will include applicable tests, vaccines, and spay/neutering. Any necessary medical procedures may slightly postpone an adoption. Meet Scar, he is a 3 year old American Staffordshire mix who is red with white markings. Scar was given his name because he has a few old scars on his body, the largest one being on his side. We are not sure what unfortunate occurrence took place to cause this scarring, because he came to us as a stray. He is friendly, loves to walk outside and is housetrained. He hopes that his beauty marks (scars) are not a deterrent to potential adopters and they can see his natural beauty and charm. Otto

Otto is a 2 year old Blue Heeler, which is also called an Australian Cattle dog. These high energy dogs are extremely alert, intelligent and loyal. Otto is house trained, knows some basic commands and loves the outdoors. When he sees the leash he does some adorable spins of excitement. Otto is currently being treated for heartworm and his activity should be reduced until he completes treatment.

Thiago is a 2 year old, male American Staffordshire mix who came in as a stray. He is a handsome black brindle with gold markings. Thiago is a medium sized dog with lots of energy. He really likes it outside, just sniffing and checking everything out. He probably would do best as the only dog in your home. Although he is on the shorter side, he is built chunky and strong. Thiago likes treats which can help him learn some basic commands.

Sundance is a happy, black and white American Staffordshire mix who came in as a stray. He is 3 years old, housetrained and gets along with most of his canine neighbors. Sundance knows some basic commands and is highly motivated by food. Besides the fact that he occasionally jumps up to give hugs, he is such a good boy.
